Our Facilitators

Regina Wells (aka Rashida Oji) Leads us in song. "She has a voice like a trombone that bends notes round and down to a palpating low and up to a pure and reaching high." Regina is skilled in vocal transformation, connecting through movement, touch and sound, the voice of your heart with the voice of your being.

Afia Walking Tree ( Using drum as sacred medicine, will lead us to connect with individual, collective and planetary wellness. Afia is joined by Lisa Afraaditi, teacher and doctoral student of Philosophy and Cosmology at California Institute of Integral Studies. Lisa will offer her generosity as a priestess to our drumming and spiritual journeys over the weekend.

Our Purpose For Each Retreat

CAW is a community of women who share an annual retreat. 'Circular Governance' is clearly modeled at the retreat. 'Circle-Groups' meet each morning to share on a personal level. Opening and Closing Circles create our sacred space, and the board holds the vision for the Camp throughout the year in their own circle. In this way the diverse needs of the individuals are met, the identity of the community is structured, and women have an opportunity to step seamlessly into service. We invite women to volunteer – become part of the volunteer network, or circle, that helps create the retreat.

Please be mindful that this an alcohol and drug free retreat.

Our self-identified sliding scale is $275 to $395. Tuition assistance is available -- please contact us early to request tuition assistance.
